El lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, presidió el Consejo Asesor de las Colectividades Vascas y presentó el VIII Congreso Mundial de la Comunidad Vasca en el Exterior. El Congreso ha recibido el nombre de «ERALDAROA» que significa «era de transformación» en euskera y representa un simbolismo de las transformaciones que se avecinan.
El Lehendakari anunció el 20 de febrero de este mismo año la celebración del VIII Congreso Mundial de la Colectividad Vasca en el Exterior. La cita tendrá lugar en diciembre en Gipuzkoa, bajo el lema “ERALDAROA”, un juego de palabras en euskera que conjuga la simbiosis entre las transformaciones que se avecinan y del tiempo que nos está tocando vivir”- dijo.
El anuncio lo realizó en el transcurso de la reunión que se celebró el 20 de febrero en Lehendakaritza el Consejo Asesor de Colectividades Vascas, la tercera que realiza este órgano en esta legislatura marcada por la pandemia, “que todavía no ha finalizado”, así como por la invasión unilateral de Rusia en Ucrania, por lo que felicitó a la colectividad vasca el esfuerzo y “trabajo voluntario y generoso” de estos últimos años tan complicados. “Estos acontecimientos globales están marcando y han trastocado las agendas de todo el planeta y la comunidad vasca en el exterior no es ajena a esta realidad”- indicó.
Iñigo Urkullu aseguró que el gobierno está preparando la próxima cita mundial con “mucha ilusión” y animó a todas las personas e instituciones implicadas a realizar sus aportaciones “para poder avanzar y ofrecer nuevas o diferentes políticas de atención a las colectividades vascas residentes en el exterior”.
