En la primera jornada de la visita oficial a Córcega, el Lehendakari se ha reunido con una amplia representación de las distintas instituciones públicas de Córcega y de la sociedad civil.
On the first day of his official visit to Corsica, the Basque Premier met with a broad representation of the various Corsican public institutions and civil society.
En el marco de la visita oficial que el Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, realizó a Córcega, se reunio con una amplia representación de las distintas instituciones públicas de Córcega y de la sociedad civil. En el encuentro participaron más de 70 personas.
En el acto celebrado en el hemiciclo de la Asamblea de Córcega, en Aiacciu, el Lehendakari realizó una presentación del País Vasco, donde explicó que Euskadi es un Pueblo con personalidad propia que ambiciona tener su espacio en un mundo global.
Urkullu expuso las líneas generales del autogobierno y del Concierto Económico. En este sentido, la propuesta que ha hecho el Lehendakari plantea que se reconozca la plurinacionalidad; avanzar en el reconocimiento jurídico-político, también social y cultural, de las realidades nacionales vasca o catalana. “Una solución política aconseja asumir esta cultura plurinacional, afrontar con visión constructiva la redistribución de la soberanía del Estado, favorecer la defensa de la identidad de sus respectivos pueblos y, también, su proyección exterior”, indicó.
A lo largo de su intervención, el Lehendakari refirió varias veces a la filosofía “auzolana”, la colaboración en pos del bien común, que forma parte de la identidad, tradición y trayectoria de Euskadi. Asimismo, ha hecho hincapié en el modelo de gestión basado en Desarrollo Humano Sostenible por el que se rige Euskadi. Sobre la visión del futuro de Europa, el Lehendakari planteó la necesidad de reforzar las instituciones internacionales y la respuesta común en el seno de Naciones Unidas y la Unión Europea.

At the event held in the hemicycle of the Assembly of Corsica, in Aiacciu, the Basque Premier made a presentation of the Basque Country, where he explained that the Basque Country is a people with its own personality that aspires to have its own space in a global world.
Urkullu presented the general lines of self-government and the Economic Agreement. In this sense, the proposal made by the Basque Premier proposes the recognition of plurinationality; to advance in the legal-political, social and cultural recognition of the Basque or Catalan national realities. «A political solution advises assuming this plurinational culture, facing with a constructive vision the redistribution of the sovereignty of the State, favoring the defense of the identity of their respective peoples and, also, their external projection», he indicated.
Throughout his speech, the Basque Premier referred several times to the «auzolana» philosophy, the collaboration in pursuit of the common good, which is part of the identity, tradition and trajectory of the Basque Country. Likewise, he emphasized the management model based on Sustainable Human Development by which the Basque Country is governed. On the vision of the future of Europe, the Basque Premier raised the need to strengthen international institutions and the common response within the United Nations and the European Union.
